UEGCL is proud to have participated in the 4th edition of the Engineers Run 2026, held at the Kyambogo Cricket Grounds. The event brought together over 500 participants from across Uganda’s engineering fraternity, providing a vibrant platform to promote wellness, teamwork, and professional solidarity within the sector.
The Chief Guest, Musa Ecweru, Minister of State for Works, emphasised the pivotal role of engineering professionals in driving Uganda’s infrastructure development and economic transformation. He commended engineers for their continued contribution to national progress and encouraged sustained innovation, collaboration, and commitment to excellence.
UEGCL’s participation underscores its dedication not only to power generation but also to supporting initiatives that strengthen the engineering community and inspire the next generation of professionals.
The Engineers Run marks the beginning of a week-long series of activities in commemoration of World Engineering Day 2026, celebrating the impact of engineering in shaping a sustainable and resilient future for all.
