Quality Policy Statement
Overview
The UEGCL Quality Policy Statement outlines the organization’s commitment to delivering reliable, quality, and affordable electricity in support of Uganda’s socio-economic development. The policy aligns with UEGCL’s vision of becoming one of the leading power producers in the Great Lakes region and its mission to sustainably generate electricity while maintaining high standards of operational excellence.
The policy emphasizes efficient monitoring of operations and effective supervision of electricity generation facility development in line with the company’s strategic planning process. It also commits UEGCL to complying with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, and the requirements of the Electricity Act.
A key component of the policy is the continuous review and improvement of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure its effectiveness, sustainability, and alignment with organizational objectives. Through this commitment, UEGCL seeks to enhance operational performance, customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and the long-term reliability of its electricity generation services.
The policy was approved by the Chief Executive Officer and serves as a guiding framework for quality management across all UEGCL operations.
