Namanve TPP Annual Capacity Test 2026

February 19, 2026

Today, the Namanve Thermal Power Plant (50MW) conducted its annual dependable capacity test in  fulfilment of its Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) requirements. Unlike last year’s test, which was  performed on five engines (1, 3, 4, 5, and 6), this year’s assessment was carried out on six engines (1, 2,  3, 4, 5, and 6).

This follows the shutdown of DG#2 and DG#7 for overdue overhauls. DG#2 has since successfully  completed its 36,000 run-hour overhaul and was reinstated for the test, while DG#7 remains unavailable  for operation.

The plant demonstrated a dependable capacity of 42.921 MW, as witnessed by a representative from  UETCL.

Well done to the Namanve TPP team.
