UEGCL was proud to participate in the Women in Construction Symposium 2026, held under the theme “Shattering the Glass Ceiling for Effective Participation of Women in Construction and Infrastructure for National Transformation.”
The symposium brought together women from across the construction and infrastructure industry, creating a dynamic platform for engagement, networking, and knowledge sharing. It connected professionals across the entire construction value chain, from engineers and architects to contractors and suppliers, while also inspiring young women aspiring to join the sector.
The Guest of Honour, Diana Mutasingwa, emphasized the importance of fostering gender responsive workplaces within the industry. She called on construction companies, manufacturers, and consulting firms to actively promote inclusive environments, strengthen mentorship initiatives, and create more opportunities for women to take on leadership roles.
UEGCL’s participation reflects its continued commitment to advancing gender inclusion and supporting platforms that empower women to thrive and lead in the construction and infrastructure space, key drivers of national transformation.
