UEGCL joined other stakeholders at the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) 2026, organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities in partnership with the Uganda Tourism Board.
Officially launched by His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, the Expo provided a platform to showcase Uganda’s tourism, investment, and business opportunities while celebrating the country’s rich natural and cultural heritage.
As a power generation company with hydropower facilities that attract visitors from across the country and beyond, UEGCL proudly participated in the Expo to showcase the contribution of its energy infrastructure to Uganda’s tourism offering and socio economic development. The engagement also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting national efforts to promote Uganda as a destination for tourism and investment.
