UEGCL, Stakeholders, host Power Forum 2024
The Power Forum 2024 was held at the Mestil Hotel, where Industry Leaders gathered to explore Uganda’s rapidly changing energy landscape. Under the theme “The Evolving Ugandan Energy Sector,” the forum facilitated discussions and networking among key players, fostering meaningful dialogue on challenges, opportunities, and advances shaping the Electricity Supply Industry.
UEGCL’S CEO, Dr Eng. Harrison Mutikanga highlighted the company’s journey from the asset holder to a major operator of Uganda’s hydroelectric plants, including the 600MW Karuma HPP.
Mr. David Isingoma, the Chief of Strategy and Business Development, gave a presentation on advancing innovation and sustainability in power generation. He stated the need for sustainable financing and raising funds internally with support from external partners.
