Thirty UEGCL staff participated in a two-day Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) training aimed at strengthening risk awareness, enhancing risk management practices, and fostering a proactive risk culture across the company.
On Day 1
The training focused on building a strong foundation in risk identification and management. Speaking during the session, Flavia Anyiko emphasized that risk management is a continuous and evolving process that requires regular review, improvement, and adaptation to changing operational environments.
On Day 2
The training was officially opened by the Chief Executive Officer, who urged staff to embed risk thinking into all organizational processes and to approach their work with discipline, focus, and rigour. The session was facilitated by lead trainer Kevin Choi, a multidisciplinary risk professional with experience at Marsh UK, who guided participants through the importance of viewing risk from multiple perspectives. He highlighted that effective Enterprise Risk Management is built on maturity, consistency, and transparency.
The training underscores UEGCL’s continued commitment to strengthening governance systems, enhancing operational resilience, and embedding a proactive risk management culture across all levels of the organization.
