October 20, 2026

UEGCL is participating in the two day Uganda European Union (EU) Business Forum 2026, where it is showcasing its capacity and investment potential in the generation of safe, reliable and sustainable renewable energy.

Held under the theme “Driving Investment, Renewable Energy Partnerships and Green Industrialisation under the Global Gateway Strategy,” the forum provides a platform for strengthening business partnerships, fostering investment and exploring opportunities to accelerate sustainable energy development.

Speaking during a panel discussion, UEGCL’s Chief Projects Officer, Eng. Isaac Arinaitwe, reaffirmed the Company’s commitment to expanding Uganda’s electricity generation capacity through the development of renewable energy projects. He highlighted geothermal power development as one of the opportunities through which UEGCL seeks to diversify the country’s energy mix and strengthen long-term energy security.

Through this participation, we seek to engage potential investors and development partners, showcase opportunities within Uganda’s renewable energy sector, and strengthen collaborations that will support the country’s green industrialisation agenda.

The engagement further reinforces UEGCL’s commitment to generating for generations by advancing sustainable energy solutions that support Uganda’s socio-economic transformation.
