To mark the World Day for Safety and Health at Work, the Nalubaale and Kiira Complex held a mass brief aimed at reinforcing its commitment to fostering a safe, healthy, and professional working environment for all employees.
Held under the theme, “Ensuring a Healthy Psychosocial Working Environment,” the engagement highlighted the importance of creating workplaces that support not only physical safety but also the mental wellbeing of employees. Discussions focused on the shared responsibility of both management and staff in ensuring that work is organised, designed, and managed in ways that promote health, safety, and overall wellbeing.
The session also underscored the need to address unsafe risk-taking behaviours in the workplace. Employees were encouraged to remain vigilant, adhere to safety procedures, and promptly report potential hazards to help maintain a strong safety culture across the Complex.
In addition, the team celebrated the successful completion of outages U5, U12, and U13, recognising the dedication, teamwork, and professionalism demonstrated by staff throughout the exercise. The achievement reflects the Complex’s continued commitment to operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of safety.
The engagement served as a reminder that a positive workplace culture, underpinned by safety, wellbeing, and mutual respect, is essential to achieving sustainable performance and ensuring that everyone returns home safely each day.
